WoW : India will offer training to Qatari police forces for the FIFA World Cup 202
Home Minister Rajnath Singh made the offer during talks held with Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani Sheikh Abdullah, who arrived here on Friday.
Training will be offered by India to Qatari police forces for the FIFA World Cup 2022, according to an Indian Home Ministry statement.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh made the offer during discussions held with Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani Sheikh Abdullah, who arrived here on Friday and Qatar's Prime Minister.
"Singh offered training of police personnel to the Qatar side which was accepted in the assembly," the statement said
Sheikh Abdullah had also invited Rajnath Singh to visit Qatar to strengthen co-operation in Qatar with particular arrangements for security of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Other discussions included expanding military cooperation along with the Qatari defence minister would "see India quite soon."
The Qatari prime minister called on President Pranab Mukherjee and held discussions.
India and Qatar have signed four cooperation agreements in the fields of fighting cybercrimes, visas, infrastructure investments and port direction, India's Ministry of External Affairs said.
The visa deal allows holders of particular diplomatic and official passports to travel visa-free between the two states.
