Dragonstone

Jon receives a raven from Winterfell telling him about the arrival of Bran and Arya.

[Jon] "does get a raven in Ep 5 telling him that the others are back. He's glad, but hasn't time to think about it."

"Jon doesn't lay eyes on Arya or Bran this season at all."

Dragonstone

When Daenerys returns from the battle against the Lannisters, Jon pets one of her dragons.

"He greets her on return from a battle, and she notes that he isn't scared of Drogon, and even pets him. Drogon lets him. She is puzzled by this, it bothers her slightly."

"Jon isn't at [the attack on the Lannister army between Highgarden and King's Landing], he's not completely aligned with Dany at this point, although he's at Dragonstone when she returns. This is when he pets Drogon."

King's Landing

King's Landing

King's Landing

- Davos smuggles Tyrion into King's Landing where he has a secret meeting with Jaime (arranged by Bronn). In the meantime Davos searches and finds Gendry in Kíng's Landing. He convinces him to accompany him back to Dragonstone, and finally Davos, Tyrion and Gendry leave by boat.

-  [Gendry will appear] "in 2 episodes".

-  [Gendry is] "in Kings Landing making weapons. Davis will joke about him rowing when he finds him though."

-  "He's been hiding in plain sight at Kings Landing. Tyrion and Davos go to Kings Landing for a secret meeting with Jaime -while they're there Davos seeks out Gendry. He tells the lad he could have a part to play and offers him the chance to fight for something. To be honest this bit feels a bit fan-servicey. But I like Gendry, so I'm not complaining."

-  "It is a bit fanservicey actually. He joins Jon's posse who head north to capture a Wight. He doesn't have a sword though - he swings a hammer like his father!"

-  "Tyrion adn Davos sneak into the city, with the help of Bronn, to meet Jaime (who isn't expecting the meeting, Bronn tricks him). He wants to reason with him, but it doesn't pan out. Davos seeks out Gendry while he does this - this bit feels a bit fan servicey, but again, I didn't write it."

 - [Tyrion] "does go on a secret meeting to talk to Jaime. He wants to try and persuade him that Cersei needs to surrender to Dany, but this obviously falls on deaf ears. Jaime can't really deal with Tyrion after everything that has happened."

Winterfell

Winterfell

Winterfell

In Winterfell, Arya spars with Brienne, and Littlefinger tries to manipulate the Stark sisters into a confrontation (or episode 6).

-  [Arya] "also has a bitchin' scene where she spars with Brienne that I think is going to be a fan favourite."

- "Her best scene will be a sparring match with Brienne, who goes easy on her at first but quickly realised the little girl is more than capable of killing her. There will be some very cool fight moves from Arya involving a dagger (the one that was supposed to kill Bran waaaay back in Episode 2 of the first season)."

Jorah, cured from the Greyscale, arrives at Dragonstone.

 - "Jorah goes to Old- Town, get's cured from the greyscale by Sam, then by the 5th episode he's found his way to Dragonstone and Dany, who is more than happy to see him."

 - "Jorah is a wee bit miffed when he first meets Jon - he's stolen his Khaleesi! But he soon warmed to him. There's going to be a pretty touching scene where Jon tries to give Longclaw to Jorah, but Jorah turns it down, saying he was never the son his father deserved and that he gave it to Jon, so he should keep it. Both men have daddy issues, so theyr're pretty quickly friends."

Oldtown

Oldtown

Oldtown

Sam, Gilly and Little Sam leave Oldtown for Winterfell.

 - "Sam has been doing general dogsbody work in Old Town, but he decides in Ep 5 he's had enough and leaves for Winterfell with Gilly and Little Sam. Gilly is actually the one who discovers the record of the annulment of Rhaegar's first marriage and the action of the second, in the journals of a Maester who kept meticulous records.

 -  [Gilly is] "learning to read, and getting better at it quick. Sam's a good teacher (as you'd imagine). But she's not great on pronounciation of new words, which is why when she reads about the annulment she mentions someone called... "Ragger". Sam doesn't pay much attention to this until MUCH later in the season, but he remembers it.

 -  [Sam is]"more than aware that Jon is now at Winterfell (Maester Wolkan will be keeping them informed), and Jon's his best mate."

- After realising they have to provide proof of the danger coming from the North, Jon, Davos, Jorah and Gendry leave by boat towards Eastwatch-on-the-Sea to capture a wight.

-  "Well, there's a touch of strategising on how to take on the Lannisters, who destroy the Martells and Tyrells pretty easily in the first few episodes - Westoros isn't the pushover that Dany expects, and Jaime is a better strategist than Tyrion gives him credit for."

- "Tyrion persuades her that most of the people who would die in a direct dragon attack on Kings Landing would be innocent."

-  "After an ill advised attack on Kings Landing, Jon realises that what he needs to do is provide proof of the Undead Army."

- "Jon goes North to capture an Undead - Dany goes too. He, Davos, Jorah and Gendry take a skiff to Eastwatch-On-The-Sea, where Tormund is manning. He has The Hound, Beric and Thoros in the Dungeon - they've been heading north too (following the 'Lord of Light's command that Beric has got into his head)."
