For Personal Gain Kejriwal Can Join Hands With Narendra Modi : Prashant Bhushan

Accusing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to become ‘totally unscrupulous’, friend- turned-foe Prashant Bhushan has claimed that this Aam Aadmi Party leader can also join hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi kind of gains.

Accusing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to become ‘totally unscrupulous’, friend- turned-foe Prashant Bhushan has claimed that this Aam Aadmi Party leader will even join hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for private gains.

“He (Kejriwal) is entirely unscrupulous…The day it suits him, he's going to join hands with Modi. I have no doubt about it,” Bhushan, who's currently over a private stop by to the US, told a smaller group of Indian-Americans and Indians here yesterday evening.

Bhushan’s remarks come while Kejriwal-led Delhi government, as well as the Modi-led Centre, are actually at loggerheads over the range of issues during the last one year.

Bhushan, an activist-lawyer who founded Swaraj Abhiyan as well as Yogendra Yadav after leaving the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) not too long ago, said he regrets having not ‘recognised’ such traits of Kejriwal at the beginning.

“He used people much like Yogendra and me to get credibility, at the same time ensured which he enjoys the majority in decision-making bodies of AAP so which he can don't wait with his agenda,” he was quoted saying.

Responding to a question, Bhushan alleged that Kejriwal will not be interested in fighting corruption.

“He will not want accountability for himself,” Bhushan said, alleging that she has heard many corruption cases about AAP MLAs.

“Arvind has Manmohan Singh syndrome, who never took money himself but allowed others around him to look at money,” the previous AAP leader alleged.

Talking about assembly elections in Punjab, Bhushan said an Aam Admi Party government inside state will likely be much worse compared to the Congress.

“It could well be rudderless and chaotic,” he stated while asserting that AAP isn't a credible alternative in Punjab.

“Congress, in reality, can be a much nicer choice in Punjab. In my view, they could be better than AAP. They (Congress) have experience. There is no principal left in AAP,” he explained.

Swaraj Abhiyan, he stated, just isn't ready yet to jump into politics.

“This will need about a year,” he stated in response to some question.

Before joining electoral politics, he explained, Swaraj Abhiyan would like to establish within itself the principles of transparency, accountability, and democracy.

“We don't want to repeat the mistakes we did in the case of AAP,” he explained, adding men and women like him were taken to get a ride by Kejriwal.
